Five months running one steakhouse’s marketing

An independent, full-service steakhouse in the southeastern US. We've left its name out because we haven't asked to use it. The numbers come from its own Google, GA4 and OpenTable reports.

What the numbers showed

More people found it, and more of them booked

+18.2%Google Business Profile views, June 2026 against June 2025 (23,118 views).
+23.6%searches that found the profile over the same period (14,852 searches).
59 → 78OpenTable bookings across three 30-day windows (59, 70, 78).
560“Find a Table” clicks from 8 June to mid-July. Nothing counted them before.
What we did

299 finished items in five months

  • A 35-page website redesign, built for phones first
  • 85 technical search fixes
  • More than 45 articles on the restaurant's cuisine, occasions and area
  • 38 Google Business Profile updates and 40 review replies
  • A booking-click event in GA4, so table requests could be counted for the first time

Of 29,471 website sessions from February to mid-July, 67% came from organic search.

The honest part

What didn't move, and what's unfinished

Covers didn’t rise in step with bookings. Across the same three OpenTable windows, covers went 1,589, then 1,419, then 1,559. Bookings climbed each time, but the last window’s covers were still a little below the first.

The biggest technical fix was still waiting. The site’s search history was split between two versions of its address. We found it and scoped it, but it hadn’t been fixed when this report was written, so we can’t tell you what it’s worth.

We can’t say the work caused all of this. Year-over-year growth can have other causes, and one restaurant’s numbers don’t predict another’s. What you can check is whether the same things are missing from your own marketing.

The same kind of work is in our monthly plans, without the article volume of this engagement unless we agree it.
