Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026

This policy explains what personal data Gigabit collects, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to our website and to people who contact us or subscribe to Release Notes.

01Who we are

Gigabit is a forward-deployed AI engineering firm with a registered headquarters in Sheridan, Wyoming (United States) and an engineering and delivery hub in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, Gigabit is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Where we process client data on a client’s behalf during an engagement, we act as a data processor under a separate Data Processing Agreement.

02What we collect

We aim to collect the minimum data needed to run our business. Depending on how you interact with us, that may include:

  • Contact details you submit — name, work email, company, and anything you write in a message or discovery-call request.
  • Newsletter data — the email address you give to subscribe to Release Notes, and basic engagement metrics (opens, clicks).
  • Usage data — pages visited, referrer, approximate location, device and browser type, collected through privacy-respecting analytics.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for the full detail.

We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we do not collect special-category data through this website.

03How we use it

We use personal data to:

  • Respond to enquiries and schedule discovery calls.
  • Send Release Notes and service updates you have asked for.
  • Operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
  • Meet legal, accounting, and contractual obligations.

Our lawful bases are consent (e.g. newsletter), legitimate interests (e.g. running and securing our site), and performance of a contract (e.g. delivering an engagement). If you are in California, we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

04Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with trusted processors who help us operate — for example email, analytics, and infrastructure providers — under contracts that require them to protect it.

We may disclose data where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Gigabit, our clients, or others.

05International transfers

Because we operate across the United States and Bangladesh, your data may be processed in either country and in the regions where our processors operate. Where transfers are subject to data-protection law, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

06How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe; enquiry data is kept for the life of the relationship plus a reasonable period afterward.

07Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. Under the GDPR these rights apply to EU/UK residents; under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents may also request disclosure of the categories of data collected and opt out of any sale or sharing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
