Is your operation ready for AI?
Six questions, one per dimension — data, process, tooling, team, alignment, and what the problem costs today. Get a score and a recommended first move — a Quick Win Sprint, a Transformation Sprint, or a Gigabit Agents build. Built from the same diagnostic we run in the Sprint.
How this AI readiness assessment scores you.
Six dimensions, one question each, scored 0 to 3 (maximum 18). These are the questions and answers the tool uses, so you can run the assessment with your team on paper first.
How accessible is the data a workflow would need?
- Clean, in systems we can query today3 pt
- Exists, but scattered across tools2 pt
- Mostly in spreadsheets and inboxes1 pt
- We're not sure what we have0 pt
Is the target workflow written down?
- Documented, with clear steps and rules3 pt
- Partially — the basics, not the edge cases2 pt
- It lives in people's heads1 pt
- It changes constantly0 pt
How modern is the stack the workflow runs on?
- Modern APIs we control3 pt
- Mostly SaaS with decent integrations2 pt
- Some legacy systems in the path1 pt
- Core systems are closed or on-prem0 pt
Who would own an AI system day-to-day?
- Engineers who can extend and operate it3 pt
- A technical owner, but stretched thin2 pt
- A non-technical process owner1 pt
- Nobody assigned yet0 pt
How aligned is leadership on doing this?
- Budget and a named sponsor are ready3 pt
- Interested, exploring scope2 pt
- Curious, no budget yet1 pt
- Skeptical or divided0 pt
What happens if the workflow is wrong or slow today?
- It costs us real money every week3 pt
- It's a steady drag on the team2 pt
- It's annoying but tolerable1 pt
- We're not sure of the cost0 pt
Ready to build
You have the data, the owner, and the alignment. The bottleneck is execution, not readiness — put one agent into production on the workflow that's costing you now.
Scope it first
The opportunity is real but the path isn't fully clear. A two-week Sprint maps the workflow, models the ROI, and ends in a deployed pilot — not a slide deck.
Build the foundation
A full build would outrun your foundations today. Start with one contained workflow whose data you can already reach — the $8,000, 3-week Quick Win Sprint — and firm up data, ownership, and alignment while it runs.
AI readiness assessment, answered
What is an AI readiness assessment?
A structured check of whether a business can put AI into production on a specific workflow: whether the data is reachable, the process is written down, the systems have usable APIs, someone can own the result, leadership is aligned, and the problem costs enough to be worth solving. This free version scores six dimensions in about two minutes. The paid version is the first week of the AI Transformation Sprint.
How is the readiness score calculated?
Each of the six questions scores from 0 to 3, so the maximum is 18. The total is turned into a percentage: 67% or more is "Ready to build", 34% to 66% is "Scope it first", and below 34% is "Build the foundation". Each tier recommends a different first step, from one contained workflow to a production agent.
What should we do with a low score?
Start smaller, not later. A low score usually means scattered data, an undocumented process or no named owner. Pick one contained workflow whose data you can already reach, automate it, and fix data access, ownership and documentation while it runs. That is what the AI Quick Win Sprint is for.
Is the AI readiness assessment really free?
Yes, there is no charge. The tool asks for a work email before it shows your result and sends the full report there. The questions and scoring are published on this page, so you can also score yourself on paper without leaving an email.
