Restaurants/Google Business Profile
Google Business Profile for restaurants

Your Google profile, run like your front door.

For many guests your Google profile is the first thing they see: photos, hours, menu, reviews and the button to order or book. A Gigabit team keeps it complete, accurate and busy, for one flat monthly fee.

Why it matters

Complete and accurate is not optional

Google says businesses with complete and accurate information are more likely to show up in local results, that more reviews and positive ratings can help, and that no one can pay for a better local ranking (Google Business Profile Help). That makes the profile a job, not a one-time set-up: hours change, menus change, photos age and reviews keep arriving.

What's included

Everything on the profile, kept current

Categories that match what you are

The most specific true primary category and only the secondary ones guests would use to describe you, by Google's "this business IS a" test.

Hours that never drift

Regular, holiday and special hours set ahead of time and kept identical to your website and every other listing.

The menu, item by item

Dishes with descriptions and prices, so searches for a dish can find you, kept current when the menu changes.

Your own ordering link, first

Your direct ordering set as the preferred link for pickup and delivery, so guests who found you on Google do not pay an app's fees and you do not pay its commission.

Bookings and calls in one tap

Your reservation link and phone number in place, and every true attribute filled in: dine-in, takeout, outdoor seating, accessibility, payments.

Photos and posts

Fresh photos of your top dishes and the room, and posts for menus, events, holiday hours and specials.

Every review answered

A one-tap review link your team actually uses, and a reply to every review in your restaurant's voice, not a template.

Ready for Google's AI features

Menu items, hours, reservation and ordering partners set up so AI Mode, Ask Maps and Google's automated calls and messages answer guests correctly.

A monthly report in plain numbers

Searches and the terms used, calls, direction requests, website clicks and menu views, compared with last month and last year.

The order button

Make sure Google sends orders to you, not to an app

Google lists delivery apps that have an authorized relationship with your restaurant on your profile automatically. You can add your own ordering link and choose Set as preferred for pickup, delivery or both, and you can ask for a provider’s link to be removed (Google Business Profile Help). Left alone, the guest who searched for you by name can end up ordering through an app that charges you commission on a guest you already had.

To see what that is worth at your volume, try the delivery commission calculator.

Google's AI now books, orders and answers for restaurants

Four features put Google's AI between a hungry guest and your restaurant. All four answer from the same place: your profile and the partners connected to it.

Reported but not yet in Google’s help pages: Google’s invitation to the messaging pilot, as quoted by the trade press, says the AI agent answers routine questions such as today’s specials, shows menu items with photos and prices, offers open reservation times, hands complex questions to staff and lets staff take over at any time, and only works for customers whose phones and networks support RCS (Search Engine Roundtable, 29 Oct 2026). Google changes these features often; we check them monthly.

Be ready

What your profile needs so Google's AI gets you right

Menu items with prices on the profile

Not only a photo of the menu. A dish search or a message about specials can only be answered from items Google can read.

Reservations through a partner Google works with

AI Mode hands bookings to partners such as OpenTable, Resy and Tock. A phone-only restaurant cannot be offered as an open table.

Online ordering through your POS

Ask Maps launched with Square and Toast. If you already order online through either, make sure the menu there matches the one on Google.

Hours and special hours that are right today

Every one of these features checks whether you are open. A wrong holiday hour is a wrong answer given to a guest by Google.

A decision on Google's automated calls

Keep them on and brief whoever answers the phone, or turn them off under Business Profile settings, Advanced settings.

Watch for the Business Home invitation

If Google invites you to the messaging beta, set what the AI may answer and who takes over, before switching it on.

How it works

Audit, fix, then keep it busy

01

Free audit

We compare your profile with the restaurants that show above you and email you what we find.

02

Access

You add us as a manager. You stay the owner.

03

Fix

Categories, hours, menu items, ordering and booking links, attributes and photos, all corrected.

04

Run and report

Posts, photos, review replies and hours updates, with a plain-numbers report every month.

What we will not do

No keywords stuffed into your business name, no fake or paid-for reviews, and no promise of first place. Google’s guidelines say your name must be your real-world name, and shortcuts that break them put the profile at risk.

Want the website and other listings handled too? That is local SEO and AI search, which includes the profile.

Google Business Profile questions

Do you need to own our Google Business Profile?

No. You stay the owner and add us as a manager. If we stop working together, you remove us and keep everything, reviews and photos included.

Why does our profile show DoorDash or Uber Eats when guests tap order?

Google lists third-party ordering providers that have an authorized relationship with your business automatically. You can add your own ordering link and set it as preferred for pickup and delivery, and you can ask Google to remove a provider's link; Google says the provider must remove it within five business days of your request. We set this up so your own ordering comes first.

Can you add keywords like "best pizza downtown" to our name?

No. Google's guidelines say the name must be your real-world name as used on your storefront, and that unnecessary information in the name is not permitted. We put those words where they belong: categories, menu, description, posts and your website.

Can you guarantee we will show at the top of Google Maps?

No one honestly can. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence, and says there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking. We make your profile complete, accurate and active, which Google says makes a business more likely to show up, and report what changes each month.

Will Google's AI book tables, take orders or answer messages for my restaurant?

Increasingly, yes. In the U.S., AI Mode in Search books restaurant tables through partners such as OpenTable, Resy and Tock, Ask Maps can add a dish to a guest's cart through Square and Toast ordering, and Google may call to check your wait time. AI-powered messaging is in a closed beta. All of them answer from your profile and partners, so we keep those accurate and set up the connections they use.

How is this different from your local SEO service?

This is the Google profile on its own. Local SEO and AI search includes the profile and adds your website's search pages, structured data, other listings such as Apple Maps and Yelp, and local mentions. If you are not sure which you need, the free audit will tell you.

What does it cost?

A flat monthly fee, with no per-order fees. Start with the free audit and we will tell you which plan fits and what it costs.
