Wix, extended properly or outgrown gracefully.
Most Wix sites should be built by their owner or a freelancer, and we will tell you that. We take the Wix work that needs engineers: custom apps, integrations, automation, and the migration when the business has outgrown the builder.
What Gigabit does on Wix.
Gigabit handles the engineering end of Wix and Wix Studio: custom functionality built on Wix's developer platform, integrations with CRM, booking, payments and accounting systems, workflow automation, and migrations to Shopify, Webflow or WordPress.
We are not the cheapest way to get a Wix site designed, and for a brochure site we will point you to a freelancer or to Wix's own AI builder. Where we earn our fee is when a growing business has built real operations on Wix and needs it to connect to everything else.
The Wix work we take on.
The work that sits beyond drag and drop.
Custom apps and functionality
Back-end logic, custom data collections and bespoke interfaces built on Wix's developer platform and SDK.
Integrations
Bookings, orders, members and form data synchronised with CRM, accounting and fulfilment systems through Wix's REST APIs and webhooks.
Headless Wix
A custom front end that uses Wix for bookings, stores, events or members behind it, when the business logic is right and the templates are not.
Automation and agents
Follow-ups, reminders, lead qualification and customer answers that run from your Wix data without a person copying it between tools.
Migrations off Wix
A planned move to Shopify, Webflow or WordPress with products, content, members and URLs carried over and redirects tested.
Site and SEO audit
A review of speed, structure and indexing before you decide whether to invest more in the current site or move.
Wix now builds the site for you. The business behind it still needs wiring.
Site generation is solved. Operations are not.
Built into the platform
Wix has put a great deal of AI in front of small-business owners.
- The Wix Harmony editor with Aria, an agent that builds and edits a site from a conversation.
- Symphony by Wix, a separate multi-agent product launched in August 2026.
- A Wix MCP server, so outside AI tools can work with a Wix site and its business data.
Operations that span more than Wix
Wix's agents work inside Wix. A growing business runs on several systems, and the gaps between them are where the hours go.
- A customer agent that answers from your bookings, orders and policies and can act on them.
- Lead and enquiry handling that reaches into the CRM and calendar, not just the Wix inbox.
- Reconciliation between Wix payments and your accounting system.
- A straight recommendation when the right answer is to leave Wix rather than extend it.
Published prices, mapped to the job.
Every figure here is the same one on the pricing page. Nothing on this platform is quoted from a separate rate card.
A price marked “from” buys the base scope set out on the pricing page. Anything larger is quoted as a fixed price before work starts. Work with no natural end, such as ongoing development, is priced per engineer per month with no lock-in.
When Wix is the right call, and when it is not.
- A small business that wants one login for site, bookings, payments and email.
- The owner or a small team will make most changes themselves.
- The requirements match what Wix's built-in business apps already do.
- A catalog or order volume that needs a dedicated commerce platform.
- A marketing team that needs fine design control and a structured CMS. Webflow fits better.
- Heavy custom logic. At some point you are fighting the builder and should own the code.
Questions Wix teams ask
Do you build ordinary Wix websites?
Rarely, and we will usually tell you not to hire us for one. A brochure site on Wix is well served by a freelancer or by Wix's own AI builder at a fraction of our cost. We take Wix work that involves custom development, integrations, automation or a migration.
How much does Wix development cost with Gigabit?
A migration off Wix starts at $7,000 fixed, with data moved, every URL redirected and the cutover rehearsed. A Wix Studio site with custom requirements starts at $6,000 fixed. One scoped integration or automated workflow is $8,000 fixed over three weeks, and a customer or booking agent is a flat fee from $8,000.
When should a business move off Wix?
When the store needs features a dedicated commerce platform has, when the marketing team is limited by the design and content tools, or when custom logic has become a struggle against the builder. If none of those is true, staying is usually the cheaper and better decision.
Can you migrate a Wix store to Shopify?
Yes. Products, customers, content and URLs are moved, every old URL gets a redirect, and the cutover is rehearsed first. Some things do not transfer directly, such as Wix-specific apps and member logins, and we list those before you commit.
