Zapier pricing starts at $0 for 100 tasks a month. Professional starts at $19.99 a month billed annually ($29.99 billed monthly) for 750 tasks, and Team starts at $69 billed annually ($103.50 billed monthly) for 2,000 tasks. Enterprise is priced by Zapier's sales team. Those are the figures on Zapier's pricing page, in US dollars, checked on 30 October 2026. The price you pay depends on the task tier you pick, so the rest of this guide lists every tier and shows how to count tasks.
Every Zapier plan and task tier
Each price is per month. The annual column is billed yearly, at 33% less than the monthly rate. Zapier lists other billing currencies but not their prices; it converts at the exchange rate when you pay.

Zapier also sells tiers between some of these rows, such as 400,000, 750,000 and 1,500,000 tasks. Above 2 million tasks a month, you go through sales.
What each plan is for
- Free includes 100 tasks, one seat and two-step Zaps only, with 15-minute polling. It is enough to test one simple automation.
- Professional adds multi-step Zaps, webhooks and premium apps. It suits one person or a small team.
- Team allows up to 25 users and starts at 2,000 tasks. Choose it when several people need to work in one account.
- Enterprise has custom pricing, arranged through sales.
Zapier gives non-profits a further 15% off, excluding pay-per-task charges. There is a 14-day Professional trial with no card required.
What counts as a task
One successful step in a Zap is one task. That includes standard actions, AI by Zapier steps and Code by Zapier steps. Programmatic calls count too, and one Zapier MCP tool call costs two tasks.
These do not use tasks: triggers, polling, failed actions, and built-in tools such as Formatter, Paths, Filter, Delay, Looping, Sub-Zap, Digest, Manager, Storage, Tables and Forms. Looping itself is free, but each action inside the loop costs a task on every pass. That is the usual reason a bill jumps.
What happens when you go over
With pay-per-task turned on, your Zaps keep running and extra tasks are charged at an overage rate. On monthly self-serve billing that rate is 2.5 times the base rate, and on annual self-serve billing it is 1.25 times. Usage stops at three times your task subscription until the next cycle, even with pay-per-task on. With pay-per-task off, Zaps stop at your limit. Zapier does not print the overage rate in dollars, since it depends on your plan and billing cycle.
If you often run over on monthly billing, moving up a tier or switching to annual billing will usually cost less. Check your last three months of task history before you decide.
Worked examples: what a real workload costs
These are examples we chose, with prices from the table above. The conversion into tasks and the choice of tier are our arithmetic. All prices are per month on Professional, billed annually.
| Example workload | Tasks a month | Tier | Zapier | Make Core, same workload |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5,000 runs of a five-step Zap (one trigger, four actions) | 20,000 | 20,000 | $189 | $29 (25,000 credits, 40,000 tier) |
| 50,000 runs of the same Zap | 200,000 | 200,000 | $769 | $182.16 (250,000 credits, 300,000 tier) |
| 2,000 orders, 20 line items each, two actions per item, plus two steps per order | 84,000 | 100,000 | $489 | $99 (at least 86,000 credits, 150,000 tier) |
Make counts differently, so its column is only a rough guide: Make charges a credit for the trigger too, and its plans and app coverage differ. Our Make pricing guide has the full list. n8n's model is different again. n8n's pricing page defines an execution as one run of the whole workflow, whatever its length, and our n8n guide prices that out. To compare all three, read n8n vs Zapier vs Make.
Costs on top of tasks
- Agents are an add-on billed in activities, not tasks. Free includes 400 activities a month. Professional includes 1,500 and starts at about $33.33 a month billed annually.
- Chatbots are an add-on. Free includes two. About five cost about $13.33 a month and about 20 cost about $66.67 a month, both billed annually.
- Tables has no separate price, and table steps use no tasks. The record limit is 2,500 on Free, 100,000 on Professional and 500,000 on Team.
- AI by Zapier steps can use a variable number of tasks. Zapier's pricing page does not list the rates by model, so test a step and check its usage before you scale it.
How to keep the bill down
- Filter early. Filter steps are free, so stop a Zap before its first action when a record does not qualify.
- Use free built-ins. Formatter and Paths replace paid steps in many Zaps.
- Look inside loops. Multiply actions by items per run by runs per month before you add a loop.
- Pay annually once usage is steady. It costs 33% less, and overage on annual self-serve is half the multiple of monthly.
- Audit old Zaps. Task history shows which Zaps use the most. Often a few account for most of the bill.
When to stay on Zapier, and when to get help
Stay on Zapier if a few simple automations are working and the bill is small compared with the time they save. Zapier is built for that, and you do not need us. Look elsewhere when the monthly bill grows faster than the business, or when a critical process depends on Zaps nobody understands.
Our Zapier and Make page covers audits and moves off either tool. Rebuilding one critical automation with error handling, alerts and documentation is an AI Quick Win Sprint: $8,000 fixed over 3 weeks. A wider audit or migration is staffed as an embedded team at $3,000–$7,500 per engineer per month. To check whether an automation is worth any of this, put its hours into the AI ROI calculator first.
