Shopify pricing on the US site is $19 a month for Basic, $49 for Grow and $299 for Advanced when paid yearly, or $25, $65 and $399 paid monthly. Plus starts at $2,300 a month. Those are the prices on Shopify's pricing page, checked on 30 October 2026 in US dollars. Shopify sets prices by country and redirected us to a different page outside the US, so check your own. New stores can try it for 3 days free, then pay $1 a month for 3 months.

Shopify Plus is sold from $2,300 a month on a one-year or three-year term, and you can cancel when the term ends. Shopify says pricing and payment options can differ by country.
All four plans include Shopify Markets, duty and tax estimates at checkout and 200+ reports. Live third-party shipping rates are listed on Advanced.
Shopify's fees beyond the plan price
Third-party payment fee. If you take payment through a provider other than Shopify Payments, Shopify adds the percentage in the table above to each order. It does not charge that fee on orders processed through Shopify Payments.
Card processing. Shopify charges a fee for card payments through Shopify Payments, which varies by plan and comes out of your payouts. Its pricing page does not print the rate, so we do not quote one. Check the rate shown for your country when you sign up, then compare it with your current provider.
Marketplace orders. Over 50 synced marketplace orders a month, Shopify charges 1% up to $99 a month on every plan.
Apps, themes and domains. These are bought separately, and their prices depend on what you choose. Add up the apps you need before you compare Shopify's plan price with another platform's.
Which plan pays for itself
If you use a third-party payment provider, the lower fee can pay for a higher plan. The break-even below is our arithmetic, using yearly-paid prices. It covers only the third-party fee, not features.
| Upgrade | Extra cost a month | Fee saved | Break-even sales a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic to Grow | $30 | 1% | $3,000 |
| Grow to Advanced | $250 | 0.4% | $62,500 |
| Advanced to Plus (from $2,300) | $2,001 | 0.4% | About $500,000 |
As an example, a store selling $50,000 a month through a third-party provider pays $1,000 in fees on Basic, $500 on Grow and $300 on Advanced. Grow costs $30 more than Basic and saves $500, so that upgrade is clear. Advanced costs $250 more than Grow and saves $200, so on fees alone it does not pay at this size.
If you use Shopify Payments, this fee does not apply, and the choice of plan comes down to staff accounts, features and card rates.
Which plan fits which store
- Basic suits a store with one or two people who do not need extra staff accounts.
- Grow suits a small team. It adds five staff accounts, and it is the first upgrade to consider.
- Advanced suits stores that need 15 staff accounts or live third-party shipping rates at checkout.
- Plus suits large stores that need more locations and staff, or features only Plus offers. Read Shopify vs Shopify Plus before you commit to a term.

What it costs to build and run the store
Plan fees are one line. A custom store build is a separate cost. Our Shopify development work includes a Store Build: from $9,000 fixed, from 6 weeks, covering a custom theme, up to 500 products, payments, shipping and tax, up to three integrations and launch support. Shopify Plus, headless and B2B builds are quoted above that.
After launch, Store Care is our monthly plan for keeping a store maintained. You do not need either if a theme from Shopify's store and a few apps do the job, which is true for many new stores.
